Volvo Volvo – 2017 S60, S60CC, V60, V60 Cross Country and XC60

In March 2017, Volvo Cars USA recalled 112 model year 2017 S60, S60CC, V60, V60 Cross Country and XC60 vehicles. Driver and front passenger seat side-mounted airbags with inflator initiators could fail to function during a crash. The seat belts were not in compliance with requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 208, “Occupant Crash Protection,” and No. 214, “Side Impact Protection.” If the initiator failed to ignite, the airbag would not deploy, increasing the risk of injuries. Volvo instructed dealers to inspect and replace both front seat side airbags if necessary.
